The staff, the ambiance, the location
The food, inconsistent hours for the lounges, and the trash outside the front door.
I like the venue (outside the bedroom), the sports facilities were amazing.
I think the bathroom was too close to a changing room which was probably the idea since it is a sport club.
Being able to walk to different restaurants near the club and the beautiful view of downtown milwaukee
Spacious room with ammenities. Room service and food were excellent.
Location and quality of hotel
Separate exercise and swimming areas. I was with my wife and we had planned to spend a few hours swimming together.
Met my needs in a very nice environment
The mac brings old world charm to Milwaukee. If your looking for fancy upsacle modern hotel, this is not the place, but if u r looking for a nice place to stay where they have a gym facility, pool, pleasant knowledgable staff close to everything in Milwaukee, then mac is your place. I would return there no questions asked!
Rooms a little outdated and they said they offered room service, but no one answered the phone.
This place is on the out-of-the-ordinary/quirky side. It is a former 'gentlemen only' athletic club that has been open to the public as a hotel for about a year, and it has a swanky, old school feel with paneled walls and low lighting that fits the stereotype. The carpet, paint and bathrooms need to be updated in the rooms. However, the location was great, the restaurants are good including the breakfast cafe, and the price was very reasonable. There were other women business travelers like myself there. I would stay there again.
staff really nice.
stayed on a sunday all restruant and activies were closed.
We enjoyed the location and the facilities that were in the hotel. Everyone was very friendly and accomodating, had a great stay and we will be back. Dave & Donald
You have full access to all of the Club's facilities when you stay at the MAC. It is a great location in the heart of downtown Milwaukee.
Very nice staff and a perk to to use the athletic facility, especially if you're fitness-oriented. Great location and easy walk to restaurants, bars, sights, Riverwalk, etc.
Feels more like an old boy's club/fancy gym than it does a hotel. Somewhat sleepy. Rooms seem old and outdated.
Very friendly employees whether the car attendant, front desk clerk or other. Great beds, I am a member of the Union League Club in Chicago which is a tremendous club. The MAC is a nice alternative when I am in Milwaukee.
Rooms are cavernous; the club needs to furnish them to "fill them up" to use available space to avoid an "empty look".
They have a great mens fitness facility. There is a large pool and workout area. There is a lounge area with a tv and water/fruits. To top it off they also have a nice sauna and steam room.
The rooms are not ultra modern but they are comfortable.
